  • Be honest, do not hide your negative side, we all have one, show that you are a balanced individual as no one is perfect…

  • Try to keep online behaviors in correlation with your behaviors offline. Do not try to act different or more outgoing and chatty than you usually are, as this will not depict a true picture of yourself

  • Show a respectful behavior, do not use offensive words. If you are shown disrespect report this on abuse@shiaspouse.com
Guard your identity
  • Keep your personal contact details safe, until you feel that you are ready to move on to the next stage. Do not feel pressured to disclose this information before you are ready.

  • Do not lose focus of your intention of marriage

  • Keep conversations clean and to the point

  • Assess the way that you are communicating; is it halal?

  • Decide how long you want to give each other to decide whether you are compatible for marriage
Stop and think
  • If you have doubts take your time to stop and think.
  • Follow your instincts but find a valid reason for your decision making.
  • Use common sense, be realistic.
  • Do assess what you are feeling and why.
  • Take time to share your thoughts with your family and use their objective views to assess the situation.

Our motto stems from the famous Hadith of our Holy Prophet Mohammed (sa) – ‘when the servant (person) gets married, he has completed half of his faith, so let him be careful of his duty to Allah in the remaining half’. Our purpose is therefore to facilitate you to find your compatible Shiamatch.

We do not want to stop at match making but want to go beyond that and play a part in building strong families in our community. Hence we hope to provide our Shia boys and Shia girls and those who endeavour in making their relationship strong and eternal with the teachings of our Ahul Bait (as) expounded through our respected Islamic scholars.
